Mat Collishaw was born in 1966 in Nottingham and received his BFA from Goldsmith College, London in 1989. He began his career exhibiting the acclaimed work ‘Bullet Hole’ alongside his Goldsmiths contemporaries at the legendary show “Freeze” in 1989, and was later part of the Sensations show at the Royal Academy of Young British Artists in the Saatchi collection. For more than a decade Collishaw’s work has been in numerous solo shows around the world; he is currently based in London.
