Nick Waplington is one of the UK’s leading contemporary art photographers, and has published three books with Trolley, ‘Learn How To Die The Easy Way’ (2001), a project which the artist exhibited at the 2001 Venice Biennale, ‘You Love Life’ (2005) and ‘Double Dactyl’ (2008) which was a solo exhibition at The Whitechapel gallery. He first gained significant recognition very early in his career for his seminal project, The Living Room, which documents the daily existence of a working class, Nottingham family in the late eighties and early nineties. Waplington’s work is in a number of international collections including MoMA, the Government Art Collection, the British Council and The Guggenheim. He currently lives and works in New York.
