Jane and Lousie Wilson were born in 1967 in Newcastle upon Tyne and have been collaborating as a sibling due since they submitted identical work for their BA degree shows, despite studying at different universities. They then studied together on the MA course at Goldsmith's College (1990-2) and continued to make multiscreen video installations and photo-pieces together. The YBA duo were nominated for the Turner Prize in 1999 - the same year they had a solo exhibition at the Serpentine Gallery in London. The pair currently live and work in London.
